Hey guys!
It's been about three weeks since we wrapped up the Kickstarter, funds have been transferred and now it's time to roll up or sleeves and get this issue to print \o/
We've been getting some pin-ups completed for the Gallery at the end of the book and Fabiano is about 3/4 done with the pages. It's looking great, I honestly think this might be our best book yet.
Tiago has just started on the colors and we're going well into December with production. We will have a break for the holidays but looks like we're right on track to go to print in mid to late January.

BackerKit surveys and any add-ons you guys might like to include in your packages will happen in January. It's important for me to get the surveys prior to sending files to our printer so we get all the quantities just right.
Most of the items unlocked are already in production and from where we are right now there shouldn't be any delays moving forward.

Last but not least I wanted to thank you all again for an unbelievable Kickstarter, it's very exciting to be working on this knowing so many people put their faith in us.
Please excuse me for the radio silence in the next few weeks. I will be in touch again in January when BackerKit surveys are ready to be sent out.
Frank approached me during the last few days of The Few and Cursed #5 Kickstarter and was of tremendous help getting us further into our stretch goals. I'd love to return the favor by featuring issues 4 and 5 of his universe DESTINY HORIZONS.
The book looks absolutely professional with gorgeous art and not only that they have also done a board game complete with miniatures which is also available along with previous issues.
From their own page: "Destiny Aurora is the story of Jayce Carver, a broken man, whose life was turned upside down when his senatorial wife was assassinated while he was tasked with protecting her. Spiraling into oblivion, Jayce becomes reclusive until his friend offers him a job as a Coalition Inspector. Still wracked by guilt and known for his reckless demeanor, he's assigned a crew no one else wants. Now, after five years, he has finally tracked down the assassin."

WOOT, WOOT, WOOT! PAT YOURSELVES IN THE BACK BECAUSE YOU ALL DESERVE HIGH PRAISE FOR THE BIGGEST TFAC KICKSTARTER EVER!!!
We didn't quite get to our next Stretch Goal at $42K, we will have to save that mysterious Artist Metal Collectible Card #1 for the next one, but at this point, does it matter?
We were up for a few Stretch Goals on top of that one in these last 24 hours though, let's see how we did now that time's up:
We were aiming to get 1.2K likes and 150 shares on Facebook to unlock the above Stretch Goal but unfortunately that didn't happen, we got enough shares (right on 150!!) but we were more than 120 likes away from the goal...
No reason to be sad though because:
That's right! We might not have reached 1.200 backers but damn it if we didn't get close enough and let's face it, this was by far the most thrilling, awesome and jaw-dropping Kickstarter I've ever put together and the reason is YOU.
And that's more than enough reason to celebrate and acknowledge!
You guys pledged, upgraded those pledges, really went above and beyond to unlock so much cool stuff. I can never thank you enough for the support and sheer amount of love for The Few and Cursed saga.
So everyone pledging towards a physical reward will get this gorgeous set of cards:

BOOYA!!!
And we did it, we unlocked the second collectible coin at $40K. How awesome is that?!
That should go pretty well with the first coin unlocked at the Kickstarter for issue #4 which, by the way, I just got this amazing photo before they shipped out:
If any of you new backers want to add the above coin to pair it with the new one, these can be added on to any pledge for $10 each.
Onwards to the next stretch goal and to 1.200 backers!!!
Yep, that's an actual metal card. We will be printing the artwork on a thin aluminum sheet, should look absolutely stunning!!
And we're not too far away from 1.200 backers as well. We're literally 77 backers away from our goal. Can we find 77 good souls out there!? Have you shared The Few and Cursed with friends and family???
Bottom line is we have less than 10 hours left on the clock and there's still plenty we can unlock. Best of luck to all of us and thank you all for the MOST AWESOME FEW AND CURSED KICKSTARTER EVER!

AIN'T YOU GUYS THE BEST BACKERS IN THE WORLD OR WHAT?!?!
We've unlocked yet another Stretch Goal so now every backer pledging for a physical reward to be sent in the mail will also get three postcards to be picked by all of you through a poll at a later date!
We've got less than 30 hours left on the clock! Can we unlock more content!?

Especially because the next Stretch Goal at $40K is a second collectible coin to match the first we've produced for the previous Kickstarter!!
There's plenty of time left on the clock, we can go all the way to at least $45K yet. We can and will find more backers that will push us further but you guys are the SECRET WEAPON.
Digital tier backers can always upgrade to a print tier and get in on the action. All our Unlocked Stretch Goal items will be mailed to EVERY backer regardless whether you are getting just Issue #5, the Chronicles, or any TFAC past issue or bundle, doesn't matter. The perks are for everyone!

We've got some new backers that have no clue what Chronicles of The Few and Cursed is and you guys might want to add that to your pledges as well...
Chronicles is a full-color 96-page anthology bringing eight new stories - 2 featuring the Redhead - set in the same Few and Curse universe. We used this anthology to introduce new characters and elements to the mythos and we got quite the team of artists to contribute their vision.
These are all panels from the actual stories produced by some of the biggest names in comics like Andrew Dalhouse, Luke Ross, José Luís, Geraldo Borges and more!

Alright, alright, alright... THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! Holy smokes, I'm at a loss for words. Even though we could all expect to reach $30K after that overwhelming start, never would I bet we were going to do it so soon.
You guys... you did this. From the bottom of my heart filled with gratitude, thank you.
Yes, the Kickstarter Edition will now be printed with a gorgeous CHROMIUM shiny effect!!! It's more bling for your buck \o/

I've tried to come up with extras that I would be into if I was a backer. I'm a sucker for old-school games, I love collecting cards and just the thought of producing a second coin really starting a collectible set gets me worked up. Please check out the goals below and share your thoughts in the comments:
Just to illustrate a few points:
The coin is rendered in 3D, printed and then gets an antiqued brass finish. This should go beautiful with the coin we've produced on The Few and Cursed #4 Kickstarter
The metal cards are actually printed on thin aluminum plates so they are actual metal cards. I've never done this myself but I've seen it done and they look fantastic
What if The Few and Cursed had been released in the 90's as a SNES game? Well, I hope to imagine this answer by shipping a "build-it-yourself" carton game box with original art and design replicating in detail the SNES games from back in the day. We did this for my other series and it looked phenomenal!
Last but not least the lenticular rewards. I've never done it but I have confidence our new vendor can deliver something as gorgeous as the covers DC Comics have been putting out there.
This is the Collectible Coin #1 available as add-on if you missed out on it in our previous Kickstarter.
Yes, I've commissioned a Pixel Art professional to do the SNES screen caps! How fun would it be to see the Redhead in 16-bit?!
I sincerely hope we get to unlock every Phase II stretch goal as well, that would be absolutely mind-blowing! And we can all do it together - whether it's by upping your pledges to include add-ons or helping us spread the word, there's much left for everyone to do :D
